Downloading Tutorial

page 2

Now we're ready to get on the internet and start downloading files! When you click on a download link you will – generally after a short (if you're lucky) pause – get this dialog box:

Always choose "Save this file to disk" and "Always ask before opening this type of file". This combination maintains your control over the downloading operations of your computer. Now click "OK".

This will yield the Save As dialog box. This dialog allows you many options and what you do here is crucial to successful downloading.

First thing click on the Save in: drop down window and navigate (browse) to the download folder you created on your C drive.
