Downloading Tutorial
page 7
Once the download is complete it is an easy matter to open Windows Explorer, browse to our download folder and open the folder with the name of our downloaded file on it. There's our downloaded file!
You'll
notice it's a ZIP file. Most files for Windows
computers which are available on the internet are in this
form. If you already know how to handle ZIP files skip
ahead to page 8. If not, you're going
to need an unzipping program to handle the next step.
I prefer zip programs which can function through Windows Explorer's Context Menus, i.e., by simply right clicking on the file. I currently use PowerArchiver 2000, available for free at PowerArchiver 2000 Home Page. If you need one, bookmark this page and go get it and install it. It will download as an EXE file so that it will self-install. Most all zipping-unzipping programs do for the obvious "which came first, the chicken or the egg" reason.
